Privacy Policy for myRSync

Last updated: 24 July 2026
App: myRSync (com.linminitools.myrsync)
Developer: linminitools / SocratesX

This Privacy Policy explains how myRSync (“the App”) handles information when you install and use it on your Android device.

Summary

myRSync is a local rsync client. It does not create user accounts, does not include advertising SDKs, and does not send your files or configuration to the developer. Optional Pro unlock is handled by Google Play Billing.

Information the App stores on your device

The App stores the following locally on your device (for example in app preferences and app-private files):

These items stay on your device unless you choose to sync them with a remote server you configure yourself via rsync.

Network and file access

Purchases

If you unlock myRSync Pro, payment is processed by Google Play. Google handles payment details under Google’s privacy policy. The App only receives a purchase token / entitlement status from Play to unlock Pro features on your device.

Third parties

The App does not sell personal data and does not use third-party analytics or advertising libraries.

If you use the Tasker / Locale plugin action (Pro), Tasker (or another automation host you install) may store plugin configuration needed to trigger a sync. That data is handled by that host app under its own privacy policy.

When you sync to a remote server, that server’s operator is responsible for data stored there.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data retention and deletion

Local data remains until you delete configurations/schedulers in the App or uninstall the App. Uninstalling removes app-private storage. Files you synced to other folders or remote servers are not automatically deleted.

Your choices

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when that happens.
